Windows Explorer crash, GUI explorer doesn't

explorer.exe the "filer a.k.a file manager)" keeps crashing, always.
The explorer.exe that handles the desktop and GUI remains unharmed.

It happens to 2 of my "Windows XP Pro sp3" client's desktop computers, the install CD came with sp3, not slipstreamed and original. 6 months old installs with Surun 1.2.0.6 from day one.
And to a 3rd "Windows XP Pro sp2" notebook with sp3 updated from windows Update. 2 years old install. with Surun 1.2.0.6 around 5 months.

All in spanish language.

Problems started around one week ago in all 3 computers.

Error 1, only happened to first 2 clients
Error 0 and Error 1, both happened to my last client

I have Surun installed on my "Windows XP Pro sp3" in english. but I'm away from home, and haven't used it for a month. in 20 day, when I return home I'll see if it happens to me too.

All workstations are under a workgroup, not a Domain

Using Event Viewer - Application i get this application error:

TEMPORARY LAME SOLUTIONS:

1.-Created an new USER account with Administrative Rights, that doesn't belong to Suruns group. for the first 2 clients.(they needed to work fast)
2.-Installed an alternative file manager called Explorer++, that doesn't crash, for the 3rd client, while i wait for a final solution, so that she doesn't lose the protection of Surun in her LUA account.

THKS in advanced, and I hope we can fix this, so more people can use Surun, without surprises.

I'm sure is a program that they installed, or a windows update, that is affecting Surun's interaction with explorer.exe

I just found a bug in SuRun that caused CoolEditPro on my machine to crash.
This bug was in SuRun from the very beginning.
Would you please try the attached Beta?
If it works with it I'll port the fix back into SuRun 1.2.0.6.

vermute mal, ich bin hier nicht richtig jedoch habe seit einigen Tagen das gleiche Problem. Wenn ich den Explorer mit geringeren Rechten starten möchte, bekomme ich die selbe Fehlermeldung. Starten des Explorers als SuRun Explorer geht genauso wie starten des Explorers als Administrator.

Hier die Meldung der Ergebnisanzeige: Fehlgeschlagene Anwendung explorer.exe, Version 6.0.2900.2180, fehlgeschlagenes Modul unknown, Version 0.0.0.0, Fehleradresse 0x00000000.

Habe das Beta installiert, das Problem besteht weiter.

Könnte das Problem mit Threatfire zusammenhängen? Dieses Programm hat sich am Tag vor dem Erscheinen der Fehlermeldung aktualisiert.

Ach ja: ich habe WinXP mit SP 2.

I tried Threadfire in a VM and did not get this behavior.

As soon as I can get a hold of my Client's Noteboook I will try your BETA SuRun1207b10b and report back to you.

I was able to check my own XP sp3 English Version, and was working perfectly, as soon as I use it again in +- 15 days I will try doing a windows update to see if that could be a source of trouble.

By the way, all my Clients computers and mine, have Threatfire and Eset's ESS 3.8.4
