First try at moderated restricted SuRunners:
SuRun 1.2.1.3b2 - 2017-08-09
* NEW: Moderated Restricted Surunners. ("User can only run predefined programs with elevated rights")
If a restricted SuRunner tries to run a non validated Programm with elevated rights, SuRun will now ask for Administrator credentials to launch the program elevated in the user's context.
* FIX: Fixed Spanish Resources
BTW: Nobody in Spain apparently ever used SuRun ;-)

Excellent feature. Thank you.

Hello,
v1.2.1.3b2
1. Right-click on the installer executable file
2. Select 'SuRun: Start as Administrator'
3. Type in the admin password
User: PCName\Administrator
Password: password
4. Click the check box 'Automagically run this program with elevated rights'
5. Click OK
My question is when the 'Automagically run this program with elevated rights' check box is ticked, where does SuRun save the elevated rights settings? I looked and could not find any saved settings.
Thank you.
Kay
SuRun stores all user specific settings in HKLM\Security\SuRun.
To see entries in this tree you probably need to run "surun /runas /user system regedit"

SuRun 1.2.1.3b3 - 2017-08-20
* NEW: SuRun detects a renamed computer and imports user's settings
* FIX: User Bitmaps for Domain Users were not shown
SuRun Stores settings for users in HKLM\Security\SuRun\<ComputerName>\<UserName>.
If the computer name was changed, SuRun's settings were apparently lost.
Starting with 1.2.3.1b3, SuRun checks the current computer name against the last seen computer name and changes the registry tree accordingly.

Thank you. I was not aware of this SuRun key in the registry. So when the 'Automagically run this program with elevated rights' check box is ticked, it saves the setting here: HKLM\Security\SuRun.

Hello,
Like I suspect many of us i have been using the beta/RC through several Win10 releases now without any issues, unless another release is imminent could I suggest that this actually becomes a full release.
Do you have plans to continue developing this is the future?
Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated,
Kay
SuRun is not actively developed any more, but I'll keep fixing bugs and incompatibilities.
I was to buisylazy to release SuRun 1.2.1.3 before my code signing certificate expired (2018-10).
I'll get a new certificate and after that I'll release v1.2.1.3.
Kay
...done SuRun 1.2.1.3 has finally been released. :-)

Hello,
Is it possible to add a new context menu feature?
'Control Panel as Administrator' in the context menu on the desktop.
1. Right-click the desktop:
SuRun: Start Control Panel as Administrator
2. Then enter the administrator password
This would become a permanent context menu feature. This would done by right-clicking the desktop without having to check the box under Shell Integration in Common Settings in the SuRun Settings.
Kay
Whoops. Totally forgot to answer. Sorry
If you restrict a SuRunner ("User can only run predefined programs with elevated rights") and select "Control Panel As Administrator" you'll be asked for Administrator credentials.
Would this be sort of the stuff you whish?
