I'm trying to run a custom application which records data from a lab machine and then dumps it into a directory that the user has read-only access to.

The executable is in c:\program\program.exe. The user has read-only access to this directory and all subdirectories. SuRun is configured so that the user can only run predefined programs and c:\program\program.exe is in the program list with the default settings.

The application starts fine when using SuRun. An experiment is run and the program is then supposed to dump the output to c:\program\data, but instead gives an error that it can't write to the directory.

I thought this should be working. The user can't start the program without SuRun because they just have read-only access otherwise.

Is there something I'm missing or is this setup just not going to work?

Thanks in advance.
Usually this should work.

* Did you grant write access to administrators for that directory?
* Did you deny write access for the user?

I added the Administrators group with RW access and that fixed it. Thanks for your help!
