Hi,
First, thanks for this very useful program. :-)
I use surun 1.2.0.8 on Windows XP SP3 with IE8.
When running Microsoft Update through the Start Menu shortcut with elevated privileges, updates are not installed, and I get 0x8024200E errors.Running as the Administrator account through the standard Surun user account gives the same error.
Only logging into the Administrator account, then running Microsoft Update allows me to install updates without errors.
Critical updates are installed without a problem via the tray icon.
That is no SuRun-limitation, but Windows design. "via tray icon" (= Auto-Update) uses the update service, so it does not use and has nothing to do with privileges' elevation. That means: Having Auto-Update activated you are fine for getting the critical and important updates as soon as possible, for other updates visit with your admin account Windows Update from time to time (best time is after the second Tuesday per month, the MS patch day; currently you will most probably find 2 new additional updates there).
